Dan spent the majority of his adult life in the helping professions. He began his educational journey later in life, after serving over seven years enlisted in the Army. He exited the Army to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and then went on to a Master in Divinity. His family followed him over many miles, to Army retirement in 2013. He then Pastored in Medford, Oregon, and then served as a VA Chaplain in Dallas, Texas. While a VA Chaplain, he pursued a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Dan is currently attending the Ph.D. program at Trevecca Nazarene University; he desires to complete the program in 2022. Dan is working in a private practice setting in Clarksville, Tennessee. He is supervised by Rebecca Townsend, Clarksville, through to full licensure. He claims he is Rogerian in nature but has a profound likeness for psychodynamic psychotherapy. At this time, he sees male adults and adolescents who are struggling with grief, anxiety, trauma, identity/ego formation, and marital/relational challenges.
