As a therapist who is also a Christian, I enjoy helping those who know that their relationship with God is a source of strength, hope and healing. For the last 20 years I had the pleasrue of serving a wide variety of needs with children, adolescents and adults in private practice, clinic and school settings. As an artist and psychotherapist, I integrate vairous modalities of psychotherapy such as expressive arts, talk therapy, solution focussed therapy, attachment focussed therapy, holistic systems theories and psycho-dynamic approaches to help clients find rediscover their passions, or discover ones that have never been explored. Specifically, I have worked with many single adults through the difficulties of online dating and learning healthy relationship patterns. I also specialize in working with chronic illnesses, and those who have a spouse or family member who has Autism (also known as Aspergers Syndrome). I am running group for neurotypical women who have a spouse with high functioning Autism.
As a mom of a child with special needs, I have a soft spot for helping moms find the balance in their personal and professional lives; specifically, those who are dealing with stresses of parenting young children, infertility, sensory/learning issues with children, relocation, school issues with children, career adjustment, spiritual issues, depression and anxiety.
In addition, I also teach expressive arts and painting classes in my 750 sq. foot studio for anyone seeking to utilize creative expression with their faith and life in new ways. Please contact me for more information. A photo of my studio is located on my website at kymberleestanley.com.
