Jean earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Interpersonal Communications at a small Christian university in the Midwest and her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. She works in a nonprofit counseling group of Christian, attached-based therapists in Murfreesboro. Her practice focuses on relationship issues, especially with couples. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, which focuses on facilitating bonding in distressed relationships. She is active in the Rutherford County Psychotherapy Association of which she is past President. Jean is an active member of Real Life Community Church in Murfreesboro. Jean takes great delight in her family - 2 children whom she raised with her husband of over 40 years and 4 grandchildren.
