I attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN and was originally trained in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy. Because I like options, I quickly became interested in other modalities and methods. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Level II and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) trained. I have been coached in Internal Family Systems Therapy and find it blends beautifully with EMDR and EFT. My primary focus is to remain flexible and use the method or approach that is best suited for each individual's style, personality, and needs. I view clients as multi-dimensional beings possessing body, soul, and spirit and I strive to incorporate the whole person in the process of change. My experience and training include: •Individuals (men and women) •Couples •Seniors and Geriatric issues •Trauma including childhood sexual abuse •Post Traumatic Stress Disorder •Christian spiritual issues •Boundary and relational issues •Anxiety •Depression •Chronic pain & illness I believe that the best therapy is client-centered and client-inspired. My role as therapist is to walk with my clients and facilitate their growth and development in the direction of their choosing. I am committed to working as hard as the client works until the desired goals are met.
