The majority of ethics complaints against counselors and other helpers are due to inappropriate dual relationships. There are a number of clear cut absolute rules governing against certain dual relationships. However, there are situations that are not so clear cut. Each of us are part of a greater community. Many times our relationships, roles, needs and opportunities overlap with our professional responsibilities.

Steve Parham, LPC-MSHP, will lead an interactive discussion to explore the best ways to navigate this challenging dynamic.
Learning Objectives.
Participants will:
- Review and discuss their specific National and State Code of Ethics regarding Dual Relationships.
- Review The ETHICS Model: Comprehensive, Ethical Decision Making approach.
- Discuss the challenges and benefits of dual relationships.
