Chris is a family therapist who brings a unique background to her clients. She brings both education and personal perspective into the therapy session. Chris believes strongly in systems theory and in the power of God working in a person’s life. It is her desire to help others during their journey. Chris specializes in working with families for pre/post adoption counseling for adoption adjustments; trauma; attachment related issues; and helping families cope with FASD/FAE and other family related adjustments. Additional training includes Trust Based Relational Intervention. Her work with FASD is especially meaningful to her as a parent of a child affected with FAS.
Papillion Center’s motto is, “Bringing Hope & Healing to Children and Families in Hard Places”. Each therapist sets their hours. Our Mission is to provide quality services and therapies that will enhance the lives of those affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, trauma and attachment issues by addressing each of the five identified areas of need: social skills, emotional intervention, therapeutic parenting skills, nutritional and neurochemistry impact, education and support groups. We do this by providing Individual, Couple and Family Therapy, Monthly Support Groups, Advocacy, Education and Equine Therapy. Our Equine Therapy Program is available to local therapists.
