I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2018 and have been practicing as a therapist for more than 5 years. I currently hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy (license #1598) to practice in the state of TN and see clients in my private practice via telehealth Monday through Thursday and every other Saturday in person in Murfreesboro, TN.
Before beginning my journey as a therapist, I worked in the non-profit sector advocating for vulnerable immigrant populations, worked in teaching (ESL), and childcare. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, with a minor in Spanish. I also hold a certificate of Pastoral Worship Studies and have the unique experience of understanding the challenges and rewards from serving in a ministry setting. I enjoy working with marginalized populations and currently see clients in both English and Spanish. I work with many multicultural clients, including individuals, couples and families. In my practice I also serve a lot of clients living with chronic pain and/or illness and the mental health effects of a life-long diagnosis. I serve children 10 years and older, as well as adolescents, individuals, couples and families.
In my free time, I love being in nature and to explore local and national parks. My husband and I live in the country with our three year old son, who also loves being outdoors! Another hobby I enjoy is baking and I use it as a way to relax and re-energize. In addition I also enjoy playing piano, guitar and singing. I dabble in painting as well and believe that the arts are an incredible way to find inner calm and re-center our souls (I also use many creative outlets in my therapy practice, too!). I believe counseling is my calling and I am passionate to serve the community in this way.
