I seek to be open and inclusive with each of my clients. I want each person to feel welcomed into my office and feel understood. I am trained in in-depth psychotherapy and enjoy exploring the deeper roots of presenting problems with a goal of practical application of insight. I particularly like working with couples in crisis. I have experience with clergy and clergy families, spiritual issues & issues of faith, Addiction Recovery, Anxiety, Depression, Grief & loss, Dilemmas in parenting, Premarital counseling, Relationship issues, Self-image issues, Sexual problems, Stress & Trauma among other presenting issues. I am a licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapist in Tennessee and am a Diplomate in the former American Association of Pastoral Counselors with over 23 years of counseling experience.
Pastoral Counseling uses spiritual resources and psychological understanding for healing and growth. Pastoral Counselors are mental health professionals who also have in-depth religious and theological training, but we are open to working with clients of all faiths, those who have been hurt by their faith tradition, and those who identify with no faith.
