Julia Roach

My master’s degree is in Mental Clinical Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. My undergrad degree is from Auburn University where I majored in elementary education. I am incredibly thankful to be part of the Cypress Counseling Group in Brentwood, TN. I have an NCC board certification, have received my Tennessee LPC-MSHP license and also a member of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor Association. I am level I and II EMDR trained as well as Level I training in Brainspotting. I have level one training in Healing Our Core Issues (HOCI). I am also trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy and Interpersonal Social Rhythm Therapy.

One of my primary missions is to approach the lives of my clients with a respectful curiosity about their story, learn more about their individual experience, and then apply therapeutic training towards developing the most effective, healing process possible. I long for every client to feel seen, respected and loved right where they are. I believe that unconditional, positive regard is the foundational catalyst for transformation and growth.

I have been part of the middle Tennessee community for 46 years! I am so thankful to be a mom to each of my three, incredible children. They have my heart. Our family dog, Archie and cat, Mr. Moon bring each of us daily joy. My interests include gardening, thrifting, reading and all things creative. Love to paint and am honored to have my work displayed at The Refuge Center for Counseling and the counseling center at Christ Community Church.
