Expressive Arts Workshop. In Person

No art experience is necessary.

Kymberlee has been in private practice in Nashville and California since 2003, and is also a part-time professional fine artist. She integrates her creativity with clients using both verbal and non-verbal forms of therapy, and enjoys using visual metaphors to help clients visualize disowned parts of selves. She currently works with women and young adults supporting new identity development and healing after trauma, loss, and various forms of abuse. She enjoys facilitating groups and enjoys hosting events in her home studio she built in her backyard near downtown Nashville. She looks forward to building connections with fellow therapists, and providing safe places for therapists to pursue their own self-care. She is also a workshop facilitator for New Life Ministries workshops throughout the US.

All materials will be provided.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will become familiar with at least two expressive arts interventions to use with their clients in private practice.
2. Participants will be able to identify one difference between an expressive arts, process-based activity with clients, versus an outcome/product-based activity with their clients. 
3. Therapists will participate in their own process-based expressive arts activity using chosen art media, and peer discussion of their experience
4. Therapists will be provided resources for further development to use in their practice.
